Sunday Services

11am : Morning Service and Sunday School
6:30pm : Evening Service

What Happens?

A typical morning church service is usually made up of the following:

• Singing or hymns or modern songs to begin with.
• Short talk suitable for children.
• Hyms, prayers and Bible readings throughout the service.
• A collection is taken then the children leave for Sunday School.
  Note: If you are visiting us, please do not feel that you need to put money in the collection.
• After a couple of hymns, Bible readings and prayer there will be a sermon, usually with slides to aid concentration.
• When the service is over there are usually refreshments, unless there is a Communion service. If the Communion Service takes place, there are no refreshments.

An evening service is similar to the morning service:

• Plenty of hymns, Bible readings and prayers.
• Like the morning service, a collection is also taken during the evening service.
  Again, if you are a visitor, please do not feel that you need to put money in the collection.
• There is a sermon during the evening service too, again with slides to aid concentration.
• After the service there are usually refreshments, unless the Communion Service takes place and there are no refreshments.

Communion Service

The Communion Service takes place after some morning or evening services. During the Communion Service, there are a couple of hymns and prayers, then the Communion is received.

Communion is simply the breaking of bread and drinking of the wine which symbolises the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ as He died on the cross for our sin. There is nothing special about the bread or the wine - they do not become the body and blood of Jesus when partaken. They are just symbols.

During the Communion Service the believer re-affirms their faith in Jesus and thank Him for dying on the cross to save them.
