This six-part animated video explains the main message of the Bible. This is the message we believe is from God and it offers us eternal life. |
The Gospel
We all face issues in our daily lives; family, relationships, work, money, health, but really what is the biggest issue you will ever face?
It will be the day you give an account to God for the way you have lived your life.
The Gospel is the 'Good News' of Jesus paying the price, on the cross, for our rebellion and sin against a holy God. By accepting Jesus' sacrifice, through his death and resurrection, we have forgiveness and the hope of eternal life after this world.
So where do you stand?

What is an Evangelical Church? An Evangelical Church is one that proclaims the 'Good News' of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, God's only Son, died on a cross outside Jerusalem about 2000 years ago. His death was for us. Faith in Jesus is the only way for our sin against God to be forgiven. We also proclaim that Jesus did not stay in the grave, but rose again on the third day, proving the once for all sacrifice had been accepted by God. An Evangelical Church celebrates this news, as revealed in the Bible; that we as individuals can be forgiven as we submit to Jesus' authority. Our relationship with God is restored and we have the hope of eternal life beyond this world. |

Arnold Road Evangelical Church, as part of the fiec, also fully accepts the prepared fiec statements on Gospel Unity, Women in Ministry and
Same Sex Marriage, as they clarify our theological position on these issues. The Gospel Unity statement explains how our commitment to the Gospel means we are unable to express Christian fellowship with those who cannot affirm the fundamental truths of the faith. The Same Sex Marriage statement outlines our conviction that the biblical definition of marriage is heterosexual, and gives brief implications for FIEC churches. The Women in Ministry statement identifies our beliefs on the role of men and women in the church as a classic complementarian position. |
