Nathan Pomeroy  | Pastor

I became the Pastor of Arnold Road Evangelical Church in 1999. I am thankful to God for bringing me here and for the love and encouragement of the Church. Prior to this I was an assistant to the pastor at Bethesda Baptist Church, Felixstowe. I’ve lived in several places; Cardiff, near Bath, London (Forest Gate and Finchley), and as a child grew up in Pakistan where my parents were missionaries.

I met Sharon at the Church and we were married in 2000. Sharon grew up in the local area and attended the Church as a child. She is very involved in many of the Church activities. She worked as a Primary School teacher for many years but took early retirement in 2022.

James Grimwood | Assistant Pastor

I joined Arnold Road as Assistant Pastor in the summer of 2025 following the completion of my theological training at London Seminary.

I was brought up in Suffolk where I became a Christian as a teenager. After studying at Warwick University, I then spent a number of years living in North Yorkshire and working as a secondary school teacher in Middlesbrough.

In 2017 I married Elspeth, who is also a trained school teacher. We have two children.

Eddie started attending the church in 2000 after moving from Coventry with his wife Marcia and they became members.

Eddie served as a deacon for a number of years and became an elder in 2020.

He is a father of four and works in manufacturing. As well as a love of the Word and a desire to follow God’s lead he is a keen guitarist and “fixer of things".

Benny joined the church in 2023, along with his wife Anupama and their two children.

Growing up in a small town in North India with parents who were missionaries, he was deeply shaped by the importance of sharing Christ. Having served as a deacon in India for many years, he remains keen to serve the church.

He also enjoys reading, travel, and technology.

Click hereTim & Margaret and their family of four came to the church in 2016 after looking for somewhere to serve nearer to their home.

I grew up in South London and despite my parents taking me to church I wanted a life free of religion and accountability, so at 16 or 17 I left it all.  But, in my early 20's, a growing sense of emptiness and need slowly turned me to look for a meaningful purpose in life, that went beyond the pursuit of enjoyment and money.

Now over 20 years later I am finding that there is life abundant in knowing and serving God. to edit.

Anna is the youth worker at the church. She is married to Stuart and really enjoys spending time with people and going for walks in the countryside.

Within the church Anna loves getting to know the young people in our various children's clubs, as well as spending time in small Bible study groups with the younger people. She also goes into some of the local primary schools to do assemblies.
